Do you know about alpaca dryer balls?   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dryer balls are a natural, chemical-free, non-toxic alternative to dryer sheets.  Just throw three to six balls in the dryer with your laundry and they\u2019ll help with drying time, reducing static cling, and even make your clothes softer.  Dryer balls can be made of plastic, wool and other fiber. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I make dryer balls using our alpaca fiber, and I\u2019ve found that they are the best!  I can wash all my kids fuzzy jammies, you know, the ones with the feet, and fleece blankets and jackets, and have NO STATIC CLING!  It\u2019s amazing!  There were a couple of times last summer when it was hot and dry outside and in the winter when it was cold and dry when there was a little bit of static in those heavy fleece loads, but there would be a little bit of static with dryer sheets, too, so I wasn\u2019t worried. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dryer balls last for 2 to 5 years, depending on how much\nlaundry you do. If you find that the static cling factor is reduced, you can \u201crecharge\u201d\nthem by washing them in hot water, and throwing them in the dryer on high heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I first started using them, I missed the smell of laundry\u2026 I knew it was better for our health and for the environment, but I really love the smell of laundry.  Now I add a few drops of essential oils to the balls and I\u2019m in heaven all over again!  (This one <\/a>is my fave!) The whole house smells good when I\u2019m drying a load of laundry now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I sell our alpaca dryer balls for $20 for a set of 3.  If you\u2019re like me, and you don\u2019t fold your\nclothes immediately when they come out of the dryer (please don\u2019t look at the\nbed in our guest room!), you might want to get two sets because they get stuck\nin pant legs and sleeves.  I start my\nloads with six to nine balls and usually there\u2019s at least one ball left in the\nlast load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
